A Whole New Perspective
Things are moving right along in the music world. Thank you to all the new venues, loyal venues, production companies, retail stores, and studios. I also want to say a big thank you to the St. Louis music community for all they are doing to bring the music back to this great city. Keep putting your best foot forward everyday and something major will happen. I’m looking forward to working with all of you.
Listen to this: The band and I had a great weekend playing in St. Louis & Columbia Missouri this past weekend. We were playing outside at Les Bourgeois Winery and the sun was setting over the mighty Missouri River. On our last set, we had a guy come up and ask us to use a portion of the stage to catch the sunset. He told us that he never got to just sit and watch the sun set with his girl and he wanted to come up on stage to catch it. The band and I didn’t know if it was the wine talking or if this guy was crazy. Anyway, he asked me to take a picture of the two of them, which I did, and when he came back to get the camera, his eyes got a little wider and his hand was rummaging through his pocket. Needless to say the band and I pulled back so he was able to take a moment to get on one knee and propose. We were totally taken back by this and Bob asked if we had anything left in the set appropriate for the moment. You don’t want to let these experiences pass you by, so after she said yes we played “To Have and To Hold” and the crowd really went wild. It was one of the best moments of my career and I want to thank that couple for sharing a very important moment me and the boys. We wish you the best of luck and with that kind of romance…you won’t need it.
